Cascade Clamps - Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine store employing just 4 people. Total sales for that particular year totaled sixty thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless-steel pipe fittings, valves and other components. During five years of operation, the company had stretched to forty staff and their yearly sales volume had increased to $330,000. Nowadays, Cascade is one of the top worldwide producers within the material handling business.

Design and production of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder allowed this new company to aggressively pursue new business opportunities. Throughout the final sixty years, the business of material handling has developed into a very advanced area with Cascade proudly playing a part in its growth. Cascade at present continues to grow as the premier provider of forklift accessories and different associated items. The business feels assured in their potential to be able to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding client's requirements in the future and remaining aggressive in the international market.

Throughout the 1950's, Cascade began to make, design, and promote its hydraulic accessories. A new facility was made in the year 1956, to accommodate all of the plant offices and operations in Portland, Oregon, which continues to be the company's present head office. After fifteen years of business, total workers reached one hundred eighty workers and sales had reached nearly two million three hundred thousand dollars.

The next manufacturing plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary move into the global world of the material handling industry as the company established interest in Australia, the Netherlands and England.

The business altered its name to Cascade Corporation in 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The business has expanded its manufacturing facilities within the United States with places in Springfield, Ohio, Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon. Cascade products are made worldwide because of many subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new plant was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is built to be the ultimate customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in 1996 and 1997 subsequent to acquiring five companies, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the worldwide leader in blades.
